Through storytelling,

I explore identity and inclusion as both a makeup artist + a journalist.

My journalism career began during the summer of my second year in college. While pursuing my bachelor’s in English, with a minor in Communications, I interned with a local newspaper where I learned the importance of writing with speed and accuracy. I would go on to graduate from Holy Names University and land a second internship through which I was able to narrow my focus to covering art, culture and community events.

Upon being accepted into the USC Annenberg School of Communications & Journalism graduate program in 2013, I majored in Print & Photography. I then decided, after graduating with my master’s, to enter the tech industry ahead of returning to communications as a coordinator. Since then, I’ve gained 11 years of experience in highlighting underrepresented voices through writing, B2B story production, and directing.

I currently freelance as a writer with Blavity and the International Code Council.

As a freelance writer, I produce content for companies and small businesses in the form of written profiles, website copy, bios and resumes.
